Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Rancho Cucamonga, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key part in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within the telecom services industry. Responsibilities :

• Prepare monthly financial statements and related supporting schedules with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform general ledger reviews, entries, and reconciliations to maintain compliance with accounting standards.
• Process and post Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions, ensuring proper coding and timeliness.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet items to ensure accurate records.
• Monitor cash flow and track outstanding receivables and payables to support financial planning.
• Assist in month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Maintain detailed and organized accounting records for internal audits and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with the Controller to support budgeting efforts and financial reporting needs.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures by monitoring compliance.
• Work with internal teams to address billing discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries promptly. Requirements - Proficiency in corporate tax, including sales tax and corporate tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger processes.
• Familiarity with construction accounting principles and AIA billing.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.
• Experience in managing detailed financial records and reconciliations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and vendors.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
