Mechanic

Research common maintenance / mechanical issues and develop new repair methods for trucks in the U-Haul fleet that effectively address these issues. Identify areas where a new or different part is needed to improve the longevity of the vehicle and / or component. Communicate the problem and solution in written form, video and live demonstration.

DUTIES :

• Automotive repair and diagnostics experience.
• Basic understanding of electronic / electrical circuit operation.
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring schematics.
• Ability to effectively use a volt ohm meter (DVOM).
• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work to meet factory standards.
• Experience in diagnosing computer-controlled drive train components.
• Perform calibrations on vehicle power trains.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Oral communication skills and technical writing.
• Professional demeanor.
