Technical Project Manager, Rockford IL

OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos and Airheads!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Technical Project Manager to join our growing team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Technical Project Manager will focus on developing and executing various supply chain improvement projects including product innovation, capital expense, and COGS improvement. Success will be measured by learning curve achievement, launch execution, and post-launch evaluation. The TPM will build and manage relationships with all stakeholders within the supply chain organization to effectively implement project initiatives that drive productivity results, optimize value, and promote growth. They will interact with individuals from engineering, operations, PD, maintenance, and other key business areas within supply chain. The TPM will also work directly with the manufacturing sites to develop, modify, and implement equipment and support devices for capacity and program initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams to successfully plan and execute projects and partner with the project leader or owner to facilitate and manage the activities and timings. This will allow for focus on execution, improved visibility into risks and issues, and help establish a culture of discipline and excellence in execution. Additional responsibilities include :

• Lead project planning sessions to collaboratively develop standardized timelines (networks) for projects.
• Utilize MS Project or similar tool to develop project schedules with a focus on the critical path.
• Responsible for tracking and assure delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for project timing, cost, quality, and budget.
• Lead formal weekly team meetings and communication methods that drive project execution and completion.
• Monitor and report status of project progress and risks to leadership.
• Participate in or lead post-launch audit evaluations to recommend advancements for continuous improvement of project execution practices.
• Ensure project outputs are consistently high-quality deliverables, completed on time and within budget, that meet all business objectives.
• Communicate project expectations and plans to the project team members, leadership, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
• Lead identification, negotiation, and resolution of issues within cross-functional teams.
• Drive execution across cross-functional stakeholders, facilitate weekly project meetings.

The anticipated target range for this role is : $90,000-110,000 per year. Perfetti Van Melle considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
