RDA is a leading provider of professional civil engineering services to both the public and private sector. We are looking to hire a Survey Party Chief. Key Responsibilities

• Leads survey crew performing various types of surveys for public and private clients
• Trains field staff as needed on proper equipment use and technique
• Identifies controls for property lines and make the appropriate decisions regarding how to proceed with the survey
• Gathers all necessary information needed to properly conduct survey in the most time efficient manner and assign tasks to crew members
• Makes calculations and maintains records essential to survey
• Ensures that assigned survey truck is properly maintained
• Maintains and inventories all assigned equipment
• Provides day-to-day supervision of assigned survey field crew on quality and survey methodology, including training, and mentoring of junior level employees
• Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with instrument operators, technicians, or administrative staff
• Responds appropriately to all employee performance issues of assigned survey field crew
• Responsible for daily communication with supervisor regarding clarification of any uncertainties regarding task assigned and status of assignment completion
• Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings
