Job Title
Responsibilities
Perform routine onsite lab operations daily, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Maintain clean and safe lab environments.
Address equipment issues and requests promptly.
Prepare buffers and solutions.
Provide autoclave and glassware wash support.
Replenish gas cylinders.
Perform and document in-house equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Escort vendors for onsite equipment repair and maintenance work.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement.
Conduct maintenance on lab, R&D, QC biologic equipment, incubators, centrifuge, autoclave, fridge, freezer, and lab space.
Make media, buffer preparations, and solutions.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of laboratory operations experience.
Associate Degree or equivalent experience in molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, virology, chemical / biochemical engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience working within a lab and managing its operations.
Experience working with a team in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Start-up / life science industry and / or gene therapy experience is a plus.
Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent competing tasks.
Experience working across multiple locations.
Team player, respectful of others, and open to new ideas.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Self-motivated and passionate about operational excellence.
Great attention to detail, resourceful, and well organized.
GMP experience and Blue Mountain CMMS experience are nice to have.
Work Environment
This position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday, either 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm, with no weekend or after-hours work required. The role is a 5-month contract to cover parental leave. The environment encourages cross-functional communication and interaction, providing support to various departments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.48 - $27.76 / hr.
