Summary
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a talented Sr. Electrical Engineer to support Federal, ports, and / or infrastructure projects in Seattle, WA .
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for federal, ports, and / or infrastructure projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
Pre-Design Engineering
Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports
Prepare electrical schematic designs
Design Engineering
Design power single line and riser diagrams
Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP / SKM
Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure
Understand and utilize CAD / BIM standards
Apply National Electrical Code, Washington Codes, and Energy Standards in designing electrical systems
Coordinate with other disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural
Project Management
Manage multiple large-scale projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants
Provide mentorship to design engineers
Prepare client proposals independently
Develop business with new and existing clients
Construction Administration
Review and respond to RFIs
Review equipment submittals
Perform punch walks and prepare punch list reports
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licenses
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer license required
Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design
Experience leading electrical design projects and teams
Experience performing QA / QC on electrical projects and mentoring engineers
Skills & Technical Knowledge
Demonstrated project management skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP / SKM; Revit is a plus
Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, inquisitive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be a US Citizen

National Electrical Code – required
Washington State Codes – required
