The Security Officer ensures that the healthcare enterprise remains a safe place. Respond rapidly to security emergencies within the hospital or other healthcare settings while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Is responsible for documenting all incidents and requests for assistance within the hospital reporting platform. Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned site. Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and policies when assistance is requested by medical staff / employees. The security officer shall support CommonSpirit Healths strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement / process improvement activities. It is expected that the security officer will demonstrate behavior consistent with CommonSpirit Health core value and Humankindness.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following :

Education / Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting or Law enforcement or military service; or One (1) year experience as a security officer.

License / Certifications :

Minimum Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and / or up to 20lbs frequently and / or up to 10lbs constantly)
