Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit to care for a diverse range of complex patients, including :
Post-operative craniotomy patients.Patients undergoing cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), enjoy access to innovative neurosurgical techniques and advanced patient care.
Your Role : As an RN in our Neurosurgery unit, you will :
Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care.Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams for safe, effective care delivery.Utilize clinical judgment and communication skills to support positive patient outcomes.Enhance patient experiences across the healthcare continuum.Major Responsibilities :
Assess patient needs and create individualized care plans in collaboration with the patient and family.Monitor patients closely for significant changes and respond effectively.Implement safety strategies to minimize patient risk.Coordinate discharge planning with other healthcare professionals.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and shared governance activities.Qualifications :
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.Completion of an accredited nursing program.1 year of clinical nursing experience recommended.Proficient in electronic medical records and effective communication skills.Join our dedicated team and make a difference in the lives of our neurosurgery patients!
