INTRODUCTION
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing various aspects of the MA-to-RN Pathway Program, ensuring its successful execution and alignment with Unity’s organizational goals.
MAJOR DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following :
- Responsible for planning and implementing programs
- Oversee daily program operations.
- Coordinate schedules.
- Ensure program milestones are met.
- Creating a program budget with the help of management and staying within it.
- Organizing the training, scheduling and performance management of program staff.
- Communicating with staff, stakeholders, and program participants.
- Monitoring the success of programs and prepare monthly status reports.
- Manage confidential files relevant to staff and programs.
- Represent Unity and act as liaison between Unity and Bedford Falls Foundation, Trinity University, and all other program partners.
- Work environment / Schedule : May require occasional evenings or weekend hours to accommodate student events or outreach. Some local travel may be necessary for clinical site visits or community outreach.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in business or a relevant area of studyExperience with regulatory environment and grant management.Experience with running reports and participate in audits.Experience in academic program coordination, student services, or nursing education.Experience working independently and with a team are essential for this roleMinimum of two (2) years progressive experience in a fast-paced environment is required, preferably in healthcare or a not-for-profit organization.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong understanding of the concepts and practices associated with effective program management.Must have a high degree of customer service skills and philosophy to include professionalism, responsiveness, and follow-through.Demonstrated ability to maintains a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, relationships, and professional stature.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to show a high degree of initiative and proactive planning and learningDemonstrated ability to work with a multi-cultural and multidisciplinary team.Ability to analyze and systematically compile technical and statistical information. Must be able to prepare reports and correspondence. Ability to comprehend and make inferences from written material.Ability to interpret federal, state, and local government laws and regulations.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.Demonstrated proficiency with technology and business software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).Student-centered approach with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Familiarity with adult education or career pathway programs.Skilled in problem-solving and cross-departmental collaboration.SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Program Coordinator reports to the Director of Nursing. The Program Coordinator will consult with the Director of Nursing before deviating from the approved plans or making decisions that will significantly affect program goals, resource allocations, or other health center operations.
