Equipment Mechanic Helper Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Equipment Mechanic Helper to join our team on the night shift. This role provides essential support to experienced equipment mechanics in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting heavy construction equipment. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing to critical infrastructure projects and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Equipment Mechanic Helper Responsibilities
- Assist experienced equipment mechanics with diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubrication, replacement of belts, filters, hoses, and fluids.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment, ensuring parts are in good condition.
- Conduct inspections for wear or damage and test equipment after repairs.
- Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records using electronic devices.
- Support material handling activities, such as lifting, positioning, and securing parts during installations.
- Assist fuel / lube truck mechanics with field maintenance tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
