Paragon was founded in 2022 by Dr. Gerald Niznick, a pioneer of Dental Implantology. Under the direction of Dr. Niznick, our team will develop and manufacture new dental implant systems and components with superior quality, utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes, together with a talented workforce. We currently have an open position for a Blasting Operator , and are seeking qualified and experienced individuals, enthusiastic to join our talented team.

The position is on-site and based out of our Calabasas, California, manufacturing facility.

Compensation / Pay Range : $19.00 - $23.00 (shift differential already included) Candidates must match all criteria to be considered for the high end of the compensation pay range.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate an automatic blasting machine in accordance with work instructions and blueprints to accomplish desired surface finish.
  • Load blaster tank with abrasive materials and assemble masking figures.
  • Perform post-blasting cleaning responsibilities.
  • Conduct routine operation of assigned machine(s), including start-up and shutdown.
  • Keep machine(s) running throughout shift while monitoring product quality through regular inspection intervals.
  • Troubleshoot and correct minor problems and obtain assistance from Management when needed.
  • Enter data (quantity, hours worked, etc.) on production documents. Ensure all documentation is accurate (part / lot numbers, revisions, etc.) and stored at the workstation.
  • Perform general housekeeping in work areas (clean surfaces, organize, etc.).
  • Act as backup to formulate (with chemicals) the anodizing tank specification, weekly.
  • Cross-train on anodizing operator tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year manufacturing or production experience.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization and supervision exist.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain safe work practices and comply with hazardous chemical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of basic chemistry and algebra concepts.
  • Preferred :

    • Minimum 1 year of Medical Device experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of sand blasting experience.
  • Experience working with caustic chemicals.

    • Physical Requirements / Abilities :

  • Ability to decipher specified color spectrum on product.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

    • Monday - Friday, 2nd Shift 2 : 30 pm - 11 : 00 pm
