Project Engineer I

Description

As a Project Engineer I here at Honeywell you will imagine design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will collaborate across Honeywell Aircraft Fuel Systems engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and will be part of a group of talented professionals whose expertise ensures the success of engineering projects and programs. Honeywell provides an excellent product orientation training program for employees.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our South Bend IN location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you will impact the development of cutting-edge aerospace technologies contributing to projects that enhance safety performance and sustainability in aviation.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrating technical knowledge of Fuel Controls / Servo Valves and technologies including aircraft interface sub-system system and platform applications
• Using project management skills to effectively develop and interpret detailed Program Plans and creating Engineering estimates for new business
• Working Phase 6 / Production Support Engineering activities for the Rocky Mount NC manufacturing facility including up to 50% travel to the Rocky Mount Facility as needed by the projects / programs assigned
• Using tools such as Fault Trees Fishbones RCCA and FMEAs to improve the organization and execution of failure investigations to drive to root cause on a variety of issues and investigations
• Anticipating expectations of both internal and external customers proactively provides status of technical issues in effective / timely manner and seeks feedback on service to continually make improvements
