Admissions and Communications Coordinator
The Waldorf School of Louisville’s Admissions and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring a vibrant and thriving school community by leading the admissions process, managing enrollment strategies, and supporting the school’s internal and external communications. This role involves close collaboration with the administration, faculty, families, and community members.

The Waldorf School of Louisville (WSL) is a fee‑based, independent school in Jefferson County, serving children from Pre‑Kindergarten through Grade 8. The school was established in 1992 and has been providing a unique curriculum that blends the arts with rigorous academics for over thirty years. Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Enrollment
Work with the school’s registrar as the primary contact for all prospective families from inquiry to enrollment.
Schedule, conduct school tours and open houses.
Collaborate with the development and marketing committees on strategic planning, outreach activities, and enrollment events.
Maintain and analyze enrollment data to recommend innovative recruitment and retention strategies.
Support families during transition to promote a welcoming and supportive experience.
Communications & Marketing
Support the marketing team in creating internal and external communications, including the weekly newsletter.
Manage social media accounts and maintain current content on the school’s website and calendar.
Develop promotional materials and oversee advertising strategies in collaboration with the Marketing Team.
Represent the school at community outreach events and festivals, maintaining high standards of public relations.
Administrative Support
Provide front desk support and assist with reception duties as needed.
Assist with event coordination and hospitality.
Collaborate with teaching faculty and administration to promote parent engagement and uphold the school’s values and policies.
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education or experience in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Education, Administration).
Prior experience in an independent school or nonprofit setting is preferred.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Physical ability to walk around the multi‑acre campus, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
Capacity to work independently and as part of an administrative team.

Location & Compensation
This part‑time position is in‑person, on‑site at WSL’s campus. Compensation is $32,000 for 30 hours per week (year‑round, salaried, exempt). Benefits include 100% tuition remission for the oldest enrolled child and a 3% matching retirement IRA.
