POSITION OVERVIEW

The Solutions Designer applies theories and principles of system design and engineering to develop solutions for the customers at the point of sale and / or installation of security technologies. Works Tech Electronics' customer account teams to develop solutions for specific customers and / or specific markets or channels and then oversees the proper implementation of these solutions during the installation phase.

Maintains understanding of Tech Electronics' Customer Lifecycle Strategy to ensure best solution and system design for the customer while ensuring Tech's ability to develop new and / or maintain customer relationships.

Research and resolves issues pertaining to bid specifications, system applications, drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors as requested by the account manager.

Reviews Tech Electronics' submission, scope of work, project objectives, technical specifications, and customer responsibilities and confirms technical ability to meet specifications and / or customer needs.

Attends various national trade and manufacturer conferences as directed by supervisor to maintain knowledge of technology in our industry and how these technologies provide business solutions for our customers; maintains knowledge on applicable codes, legislative changes and industry trends that impact their assigned technology; responsible for reviewing with each office, channel, market and department managers that support their technology.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience) is required

Five or more years of professional experience designing technology solutions.
