Overview
The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for establishing and maintaining new customers, as well as current customer accounts. This position is responsible for all aspects of account management including soliciting service, body shop business, and any additional business from assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain new and existing customer accounts.
- Maintain an active sales call report system.
- Maintain accurate customer contact information.
- Appraise vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair, coordinating with insurance companies.
- Prepare and present quotes and estimates to customers on all wrecks, locally and out of town.
- Review all Body Shop repair orders, making sure everything is complete and the total repair order is in accordance with the original estimate and any supplement which may have been added.
- Assist in problem resolution.
- Maintain an active competitive sales report system.
- Assist parts and service departments to promote sales.
- Make follow-up visits with new and established accounts to resolve concerns and assist the credit department in resolving billing disputes
- Communicate any new customers to parts and service.
- Treat customers with courtesy and respect in accordance with dealership policies.
- Coordinate with office staff and managers to ensure proper job management and customer communications.
- Collaborate with Body Shop Manager and other staff in developing and promoting marketing programs for branch sales.
- Assist with other department duties as directed by Management.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years experience in sales.Strong understanding of truck service industry and truck products provided byGreat mathematical skills.Positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times.Good working knowledge of truck repair.Superior customer service skills with ability to negotiate effectively with customers.Strong oral and written communication skills.Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000.
