Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities :

LIU Brooklyn seeks a dynamic, student-centered leader to

serve as the Associate Dean of Students for Student Affairs. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student

Affairs & Executive Dean of Students, the Associate Dean plays acritical role in enhancing the student experience by

providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction for student services and programs that promote student success,

engagement, and well-being. This role supports a diverse student population through advocacy, resource development, crisis

management, and program implementation, in alignment with the University’s mission and goals.

Principle Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership and oversight for various Student

Affairs units, including student conduct, academic

advisement, student engagement, residence life / housing

operations, financial success, and career engagement.

including establishing goals and fostering.

professional development opportunities, monitor goals for

the team, and meet recruitment and retention goals.

such as new student orientation, homecoming,

commencement, and other university events.
