Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support two major R&D initiatives focused on new product development. This is a 100% design-focused role with no hands-on manufacturing or fieldworkideal for engineers who thrive in a CAD-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new machinery.
• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and project management.
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and performance.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site role based in Covington, KY. The position is a contract role lasting approximately 69 months, with potential for extension based on project needs. The work will be 100% behind a desk doing design work for new machines within an R&D setting. Flexible work hours within standard business hours are available. This opportunity offers involvement in the front end of developing cutting-edge machine designs for new product development in a company that values culture and job tenure.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00 / hr.
