Remote Surgery Coder

Location :  Remote (Eligible States : TX, OK, AL, MO, GA, FL)

Schedule :  Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CST (Flexible start time : 7, 8, or 9 AM)

PTO Policy :

  • No time off permitted during the first 90 days
  • Blackout dates : Last 2 days and 1st day of each month due to month-end close

Required Qualifications :

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) – Required
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical coding experience
  • Experience coding surgeries directly using PMD
  • Ability to work with auto notes and complete documentation (no leveling required)

    • Job Responsibilities :

  • Code surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Utilize PMD to access and complete auto notes
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure coding quality and compliance
  • Maintain productivity and meet deadlines in a remote environment
  • Communicate effectively and escalate issues when necessary

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Confidence in decision-making
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proactive in asking questions and seeking clarity
  • Additional coding certifications are a plus
