Responsibilities :
Oversee the tribological testing facility to support QC, production, R&D and sales projects.
Manage the cooperative efforts between Marketing, Sales, and R&D to ensure the identification and placement of new product opportunities in the field to the underlying teams.
Leadership of the tribology team and R&D Grease team from a disciplinary and project management perspective of the latter.
Develop and implement strategy for tribology in alignment with global TC and local Business strategy, break down company's vision into concrete action items, set priorities, manage project and deliver in a timely manner.
Grow the R&D competencies in the region and the group about new thickener systems, innovation scale up and new instrumentational capabilities and capacity.
Constantly develop a comprehensive understanding of related theories, tests and methods to use tribology and R&D as a value creating entity for the organization.
Contribute ideas for innovation projects, new method development, departmental team growth and industry awareness of product and solution outcomes.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Research and Development or Tribological managerial or team leadership role.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in scientific research and engineering capacity.
MS Degree or PhD in Chemistry, Tribology Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Material Science or related field of study.
Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, SAP
Good knowledge of R&D processes and project management in a technical environment and a background in tribological testing, analysis and sound knowledge of theory and application.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the lubrication industry.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong communication, decision-making, and follow-through skills.
