Description

The Designer will work onsite under limited supervision to prepare mechanical designs and drawings utilizing NX1980 and Teamcenter, correctly applying the ASME Y14.5-M-1994 (or higher) GD&T standard.

This work will be done to support projects within APS-TD DUNE.

The work will be done using Design / Drafting procedures, working to meet project schedules and other requirements, and will include working directly with the engineering staff working on the projects to research and analyze design solutions, coordinate design development, and specify and select design components and materials.

Deliverables : Design tolerance and stack up calculations, layout designs, detailing, advanced level 3D models, and 2D drawings required for the project.

Deliverable Format and Quantity : 3D models and 2D drawings are completed in Solidworks, managed in Windchill, NX and Team Center.

Quality Assurance : Work shall be performed in accordance with the QAM and APS-TD and Design / Drafting Procedures. All work will be reviewed, checked, and approved by staff responsible for the specific task.

Shift : 8-hour shift between 7am - 5pm

Requirements :

Demonstrate acceptable proficiency in Solidworks / NX via an interview through the ZOOM meeting portal.

A minimum of a 5 years of experience as Designer.

Ability to deliver a quality work product to deadline-driven projects.

Knowledge of NX 1980 and Teamcenter is beneficial.

In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
