Sr. Project Controls Analyst
TD Thornton is seeking a Sr. Project Controls Analyst with scheduling expertise to join our team. You'll control the scope, cost, and schedule for a portfolio of large-scale construction projects, often exceeding $25 million in value. This hybrid role combines the flexibility of remote work with on-site collaboration and meetings as needed across the Bay Area, including locations in San Francisco, Pittsburg, Oakland, San Jose, and Monterey.
Your Day-to-Day Activities :
Plan and Organize :
- Develop and maintain project schedules, defining activities, work breakdown structures, predecessors / successors, resources, and baselines using Primavera P6.
- Input financial forecast data and provide analysis using tools like SAP. Support project managers in preparing business cases, contingency releases, and managing project budgets within established governance rules.
- Monitor and update cash flow projections.
Analyze :
Analyze and report on variances in project costs and schedules.Create and maintain reporting tools, including Excel-like spreadsheets, for clear communication with stakeholders.Measure progress on activities and milestones in project schedules.Execute :
Assist with the execution and administration of contracts, including processing change orders and validating accruals.Support meetings and calls with project team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment.Help project managers hold team members accountable for action items.Communicate :
Prepare and present timely updates to project managers and supervisors.Keep all stakeholders informed of project developments through meeting minutes, action logs, and status reports.Manage Risk :
Support the project team in identifying, resolving, and tracking risks.Escalate risks and issues to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.You'll be prepared for this job if you have
