Your Role on the Team
Under supervision, the Project Coordinator will have two primary responsibilities. First, the Project Coordinator will assist Dr. June Ahn (Design and Partnership Lab PI) and Dr. Fernando Rodriguez (project Co-PI) with implementing a Fellowship and Training program for diverse UCI undergraduate students to learn about and pursue career pathways in educational data science and learning analytics. The Fellowship program is funded through the Institute of Education Sciences and the goal is to mentor and support minoritized and underrepresented students to succeed in future data science and analytics careers (https : / / sites.uci.edu / cpleads / ). Second, the Project Coordinator will assist Dr. June Ahn and the Design and Partnership Lab in supporting research activities around education, design, technology, and improving learning for diverse learners.
This position is grant funded through 6 / 30 / 26. The position is ideal for an individual who would like to get experience in higher education, project management, and research. The position will be an effective foundation for future graduate study or career pathways in research and education.
Job responsibilities will include assisting with the organization of research projects; helping to develop program materials, website designs, and communication strategies; coordinating with the PIs to manage project logistics; mentoring undergraduate students; participating in any data collection, training undergraduate assistants, data entry, quality control, and any research analyses with the PIs and project team.
