Job Summary :
As a Rigging Specialist I at JTS, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and precise movement of heavy equipment and components within the yard to support generator unit assembly. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail. You will work closely with crane operators and other team members to ensure all rigging operations are executed to the highest standards of safety and accuracy.

- Strong communicator with situational awareness during equipment movement
- Calm under pressure and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Safety-conscious with the ability to maintain a secure work perimeter
- Proficient forklift operator
- Comfortable using measuring tools and performing basic math
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and inspect rigging gear including shackles, slings, chains, and strapsSet up and dismantle rigging equipment for lifting operationsSecure loads for lifting and ensure proper weight distributionOperate aerial lifts and use fall protection equipment as requiredAssist in loading and unloading heavy equipment and completed units onto transport trucksMaintain constant communication with crane operators using hand signals and radiosConduct pre-lift planning and risk assessments with team membersMonitor rigging operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and load limitsIdentify and report any equipment defects or safety hazardsCollaborate with team members to adjust installation or preparation plans as neededMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and rigging gear are stored properlyQualifications & Experience :
High School Diploma or GED (required)Prior experience in rigging and crane operations (preferred)Demonstrated mechanical aptitudeFamiliar with blueprints and lift plansStrong attention to detail and a solid work ethicEffective time management and adaptabilityFamiliarity with job site safety standards and PPE usageReliable attendance and a respectful, responsible attitudeAt JTS, we take pride in producing high-quality, American-made products while providing a workplace where employees can thrive.
