Assist with verification of patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to the appointment Confirm appointment and send appointment reminders Faxing and filing Maintain a clean and presentable front office and reception area. Maintain accurate patient information by updating patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic health records system. Taking payments and posting payments. High School Diploma (GED) Certified Medical Assistant, plus Ability to pass a background check At least 1 year of medical office / clerical experience Proficiency with computers, typing and basic software use. Positive attitude and ability to use good judgment and seek appropriate resources in difficult or stressful situations Professional behavior and appearance Pays attention to detail and is quality focused Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service Strong work ethic and positive attitude Excellent multi-tasking skills
