Senior Finance Analyst – San Jose, CA
Job Overview
Position is open to Veterans, transitioning military, members of the Nation Guard and MilSpouses. The role focuses on forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting for key programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and strategic alignment with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), long‑range strategic plan, and quarterly program financial forecasts.
- Build and maintain complex financial models for program performance, Estimates at Complete (EACs), pricing, and what‑if scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with program managers and department heads to develop realistic operational budgets and forecasts.
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to senior leadership through in‑depth variance analysis on program profitability, revenue, and costs.
- Ensure rigorous financial compliance with government regulations, including FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA requirements.
- Assist in evaluating cost‑saving opportunities, pricing strategies, and capital expenditure planning.
- Provide financial analysis and insights for ad‑hoc requests and special projects.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program financial health and operational metrics.
- Prepare and present executive‑level financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external defense customers.
Qualifications
Minimum : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within defense or government contracting.Expertise with government contracting types (FFP, CPFF, T&M) and their financial management requirements.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced functions.Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software such as Deltek Costpoint and Oracle.Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information to diverse audiences.Preferred : Master’s degree, experience with government cost accounting principles, and ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.Additional Information
Salary Range : $97,120 – $145,680 annually. Location : San Jose, California.
