Audit Specialist (Contract Position)

We are looking for an experienced Audit Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Denton, Texas. This short-term role involves conducting a one-day physical inventory audit project, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong auditing expertise and the ability to work effectively within a defined framework. This is a one-day contract position. 100% ONSITE in Denton, TX 76201.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform a detailed inventory audit, verifying accuracy between physical inventory and provided records.
  • Collaborate with the project owner to understand and implement the sheet-to-floor and floor-to-sheet audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with operational audit standards and procedures during the inventory review.
  • Document and report discrepancies or findings in a clear and organized manner.
  • Utilize case management and audit software tools to streamline the auditing process.
  • Manage time effectively to complete the audit within the one-day timeframe.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Apply knowledge of complaint handling and management systems, if necessary, during the audit process.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in audit tools such as LexisNexis and case management software.
  • Strong understanding of operational audits and annual inventory procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and calendar management skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
  • Experience in complaint handling and management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines within a short-term project scope.
