Overview

POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the general direction of the Chief of Police or designee, the Security Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and support for a broad range of physical security system matters including providing direction, installation, support, and service for physical security systems and technology including, access control, alarm systems, weapons detection systems, video management systems, intercom systems, and associated applications and peripherals.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Oversee the administration and maintenance of physical security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, alarms, and intrusion detection systems. (Cloudgate, IMC, Indigo, Hugs, Lenel, Rave, RedSky)

• Implement and manage security policies and procedures related to physical security systems.
• Manage the design, budgeting, and implementation of security infrastructure projects.
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot security hardware and software components.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of physical security systems to identify and take action on vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with security personnel and other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
• Support the Public Safety response to security incidents and alarms, conduct investigations and provide detailed reports.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in physical security technology and best practices.
• Chair monthly security infrastructure team meeting.
• Develop and manage the annual security system infrastructure budget.
• Manage security vendor performance.
• Assign work to security vendors.
• Acts as liaison to Information Technology and security vendors for all physical security system matters.
• Develop strategies for engagements with key partners, clients, and other stakeholders. Directs planning activities in preparation for presentations and coordinates follow-up.
• Develops and tracks key metrics / KPI's for strategic priorities.
• Ability to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports related to
