Magleby Construction is looking for an experienced construction estimator to perform a variety of preconstruction & estimating duties in a high-end residential development market. This position is assigned to work in multiple office as well as perform site visits on occasion. Offices are located in Utah County, the Wasatch back and remote.

Duties may include :

  • Estimating / pricing for various phases of preconstruction (programming, schematic design, design development, permit and construction documents)
  • Use of E-Takeoff & Sage Estimating
  • Develop and maintain client, trade partner and team relationships
  • Capture historical cost data
  • Create budgets, scopes of work, request for proposals and presentation documents
  • Collaboration with architects, engineers and designers

Job Requirements :

Successful individual possesses the following attributes :

  • 6+ years' experience in luxury residential development estimation
  • Construction experience and / or degree in Construction Management or related degree preferred
  • Relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of high-end development products preferred
  • Works well in a collaborative environment is a must
  • Experience with On Screen Takeoff and Sage Timberline preferred
  • Proficient in Excel and Bluebeam
  • Proven computer skills and experience Microsoft Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Time management Skills
