Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced F&B Supervisor to support daily kitchen operations at Zion Canyon Hot Springs. The ideal candidate will lead kitchen staff in delivering high-quality food in a timely, safe, and professional manner. This hands-on role is essential in maintaining food safety standards, coordinating meal preparation, and ensuring a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations & Food Preparation :

  • Supervise all back-of-house operations during shifts, ensuring food is prepared, cooked, and presented to quality standards.
  • Assist with food prep and line cooking as needed during peak hours.
  • Ensure all kitchen areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with health codes and sanitation standards.
  • Oversee and support inventory rotation (FIFO), stock levels, and communicate supply needs to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Staff Supervision & Training :

  • Lead, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Train new team members on kitchen procedures, safety, and food handling protocols.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture and encourage accountability and consistency.
  • Safety & Compliance :

  • Ensure compliance with all local health and food safety regulations.
  • Monitor proper use and care of kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Assist with kitchen inspections and maintain readiness for audits.
  • Guest Service Support :

  • Communicate clearly with front-of-house staff to ensure timely food service and address special dietary needs or guest requests.
  • Uphold service standards that contribute to a positive guest experience.
  • Qualifications

    Experience :

  • Minimum 2 years of kitchen or culinary experience in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience in hospitality, resort, or wellness settings is a plus.
  • Skills & Traits :

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness and food safety.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Certifications (Preferred) :

  • ServSafe Food Handler or Manager certification.
  • First Aid / CPR certification is a plus.
