AP Specialist
We are looking for an AP Specialist to join a large established AP team in the Galleria. If you are interested and have high volume AP processing with SAP experience, please apply today.
Responsibilities :
Process and prepare vendor invoices, both electronic and hard-copy, for input into the accounts payable workflow system.
Utilize optical character recognition software to validate and enter invoice data efficiently.
Conduct research and analysis within company financial systems to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
Manage inquiries from vendors and plant locations, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of accounts payable issues.
Perform all payment-related tasks, including processing checks, wire transfers, and ACH payments, while maintaining compliance with company policies.
Support vendor maintenance activities, including 1099 functions and invoice processing outside of standard systems.
Organize and maintain accounts payable documents, reports, and files for easy access and reference.
Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure financial reporting accuracy.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with established accounts payable guidelines.
Execute additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the accounts payable department.
Requirements :
Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including vendor management and payment handling.
Proficiency in using accounting software systems, such as SAP, for financial operations.
Strong understanding of automated clearing house (ACH) payments and related functions.
Familiarity with optical character recognition (OCR) tools and their application in invoice processing.
Knowledge of coding and categorizing account transactions accurately.
Ability to perform detailed research within financial systems to resolve issues.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining records, reports, and compliance documentation.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
