Position : Invasive Cardiac RN

Facility : Gundersen Lutheran, La Crosse, WI

Shift : 9-hour variable day shifts (72 hours biweekly)

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : ASAP

Guaranteed Hours : 72 hours biweekly

Primary Location : Gundersen Lutheran La Crosse, Wisconsin

Shift Times : 7 : 00 AM–4 : 00 PM / 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM

Float Requirement : Cath Lab only

Call Requirements

1–2 nights per week, 5 : 00 PM–7 : 00 AM

Every 4th–5th weekend : Friday 5 : 00 PM–Monday 7 : 00 AM

30-minute response time required

Holidays : Rotating as needed (due to call schedule, typically 1 holiday)

Requirements

WI RN license (or willingness to obtain) & AHA ACLS

Minimum 2+ years recent Cath Lab experience

Must be strong in structural heart cases (Hard stop requirement)

EPIC charting experience required

Associates Degree minimum

Required Skill Set

Proficient in scrubbing with physicians

Experience with structural procedures including :

TAVR

MitraClip

Watchman

High-risk PCI with Impella support

Ability to scrub IR, Cath, and Structural Heart procedures

Unit Overview

4-person teams (RN + Tech mix)

Fast-paced environment

3 Interventional Cardiologists

Primary Case Types : Diagnostic caths, PCI / high-risk PCI, TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman

Scrub Colors : Hospital-provided surgical blues

Additional Notes

Billing cycle : Monday–Sunday

GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week

Hours guaranteed except during holidays when the unit is closed
