Job Duties
he Virginia Retirement System (VRS) is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will collaborate closely with Infrastructure Engineers, IT, and Security personnel to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance VRS’ infrastructure assets.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting infrastructure solutions with a strong focus on security and operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for applying enterprise standards and industry best practices across our Nutanix virtual environment and Azure cloud platform. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to resolving complex infrastructure issues.
Essential tasks include but not limited to :
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or closely related field.
Eight (8) years of experience in infrastructure operations and project delivery, including extensive experience with Okta, Microsoft Server, M365, Azure, Mail hygiene and backup solutions, system security, and Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
