AM has an opening for a full-time Public Health Planner (PHP). The PHP works independently to assess, plan, craft and assist in the adoption of state and local health improvement planning. A primary responsibility is leading community health needs assessments including research and review of community data, health indicators, risk factors, socioeconomic factors, and existing resources. Candidates must be available to be on-site at client locations.
- This position serves as the project manager for state and local health improvement planning projects
- Provide guidance to clients (e.g., public agencies, health care providers, community organizations and residents) on issues related to community health assessments and planning.
- Research and review of community data, health indicators, risk factors, socioeconomic factors, and existing resources.
- Lead clients and internal teams through health planning processes to improve local outcomes, develop recommendations for utilization of existing community resources and adopt new action plans to improve health
- Work with state and regional partners to ensure that action plans are coordinated across stakeholders and assure the alignment of local and state health improvement plans
- Provide subject matter expertise in the execution of planning deliverables and responses to RFP related to public health planning.

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Health Planning, Public Health, Health Science, Hospital Administration, or Health Care AdministrationThree years of professional experience in health planning.PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS :
Master’s Degree in Public Health or related fieldDemonstrated experience in providing planing-based services, grant management, and meeting project deliverablesBilingual (English / Spanish)TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS :
