The Lead Maintenance Tech is responsible for but not limited to the following areas of troubleshooting and working on and maintaining horizontal and vertical form fill and seal equipment, shrink wrap tunnels, forklift minor repairs, stretch wrapper, print registered film wrappers, and heavy electrical work on machines. Also including warehouse and building maintenance. This position will also include performing research, building prototypes, inspecting products, providing customer support, and reporting to the supervising manager. He / she must have a great attitude and positive outlook.
Responsibilities and Essential DutiesPerform routine preventative maintenance on packaging and mechanical handling equipment.Document records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.Select repair parts and update parts records.Repair mechanical damage and replace defective parts, which may include welding, brazing, and soldering. Repairs made to all packaging and mechanical handling equipment.Applies mechanical skills and knowledge to troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication.Reads and interprets schematics, drawings, and other diagnostic aids in the scope of troubleshooting, repair, and fabrication work.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Comply with OSHA Safety and Health regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work areaD .
