Strategic Risk Leader

Join Associated Bank as a strategic risk leader driving the safety and resilience of our technology and operations. In this role, you'll oversee risk management across key IT areas including infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and vendor services. You'll partner closely with senior leaders to strengthen our control environment and ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards while building and developing a high-performing risk team.

Key Accountabilities :

• Lead the first line of defense for Bank Operations & Technology risk, overseeing risk programs across infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and third-party services.
• Direct the execution of risk assessments, control testing, and remediation efforts to ensure operational resilience and compliance.
• Oversee major incident management, root cause analysis, and mitigation planning to address systemic risks.
• Advise on technology initiatives including cloud migrations, enterprise upgrades, and digital transformation programs.
• Analyze and report key risk indicators (KRIs) and emerging trends to senior technology and risk leadership.
• Partner with compliance, audit, and second-line risk functions to align practices with enterprise standards and OCC Heightened Standards.
• Mentor and develop a team of risk professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Enhance risk frameworks, tools, and governance processes to improve transparency and control effectiveness.
