OVERVIEW –

We’re looking for a Residential Weekend Lead Instructor to join our TERI team!

The Residential Weekend Lead Instructor is responsible for overseeing weekend operations of a residential program for adults with developmental disabilities. This includes direct care duties such as Active Treatment, Behavior Modification, PABS / ABST, CPR, and Standard First Aid in alignment with individual education and program plans. Reporting to the QIDP, this role also includes weekend staff supervision and training, ensuring accurate and timely client documentation and adherence to TERI policies and procedures.

To qualify for this position, you will need to obtain a Class B Drivers License and become Med Pass Certified. TERI will provide the necessary preparation and support for you to successfully pass this training. New hires will begin their career at $21.00 / hour until training is completed, and then will be increased to earn $22.00 / hour. This training is expected to take less than 30 days. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES –

  • Ensure the health, safety, rights, and well-being of clients at all times, including overseeing medical / dental needs under RN guidance.
  • Supervise weekend staff, provide on-site training, and support performance evaluations in coordination with the QIDP.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including incident reports, behavior charts, medication logs, and weekend activity schedules.
  • Oversee proper use of household and client funds and ensure facility, yard, and vehicle upkeep to meet agency and licensing standards.
  • Provide direct care and behavior support to clients, including those with challenging behaviors, using approved PABS / ABST techniques.
  • Coordinate and prepare nutritious meals in line with individual dietary needs and consultant guidance.
  • Facilitate client transportation for activities and home visits, ensuring safe and engaging weekend experiences.
  • Actively participate in TERI’s wellness program and model a “Fit for Life” lifestyle alongside clients.

QUALIFICATIONS –

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • One-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination in in with special needs and experience working with adults in vocational or volunteer settings preferred
  • Must have a two-years clean driving record.
  • Must have personal mode of transportation.
  • SALARY –

    21.00-$22.00 Hourly

    Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, Fallbrook, and San Marcos.
