NetSuite Business Analyst And Administrator
This hybrid role drives business value from NetSuite by combining business analysis, process design, and hands-on NetSuite administration. Partnering with department leaders across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Field Services, the incumbent will proactively discover needs, translate them into clear requirements, and configure NetSuite to deliver measurable outcomes. The role also governs NetSuite standards (data, roles / permissions, integrations, release management) and enables analytics that support decision-making as the company scales.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Discovery & Process Design
- Proactively interview department leaders and power users to understand objectives, pain points, and success metrics.
- Map current vs. future processes (swimlanes, SIPOC, RACI) and identify standardization / automation opportunities.
Requirements & Backlog Management
Translate business needs into Epics / Stories with acceptance criteria; prioritize a value-centric backlog and maintain a publishable roadmap.Facilitate grooming, sprint planning, and UAT sign-off with business owners.NetSuite Configuration & Administration
Own day-to-day administration : roles / permissions, subsidiaries, COA, approval routing, item / record management, saved searches, dashboards, KPIs, and SuiteAnalytics.Build / maintain SuiteFlow workflows, custom fields / types, forms, and simple scripts; coordinate advanced SuiteScript / SDF work with developers / partners when needed.Manage release readiness (biannual releases), sandbox strategy, regression testing, and change control.Data Quality & Governance
Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules; monitor data quality and remediate root causes.Oversee secure access, audit trails, SOX-relevant controls, and periodic access reviews in partnership with InfoSec.Integrations & Reporting
Collaborate with integration teams to design / maintain data flows with adjacent systems (e.g., Salesforce, Snowflake, MuleSoft, payroll / HRIS, field apps); leverage SuiteTalk / RESTlets as appropriate.Deliver decision-ready reporting (saved searches, workbooks, KPIs, dashboards) and self-service enablement for end users.Enablement & Change Management
Develop concise training, job aids, and knowledge base content; host office hours and champion an "adopt then adapt" mindset.Establish an operating rhythm with department leaders (monthly value reviews; quarterly roadmap reviews).Vendor & Partner Management
Coordinate external partners (when used), define SOW scope, track deliverables, and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams.Continuous Improvement & Metrics
Track ROI of enhancements (cycle-time reduction, error rate, working capital KPIs, automation hours saved) and publish quarterly results.Requirements
Education / Experience :
5+ years combined experience as a Business Analyst and NetSuite Administrator (minimum 3 years NetSuite administration).
Functional / Technical Skills :
Hands-on NetSuite configuration across core finance, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and inventory / fulfillment; SuiteFlow; saved searches; dashboards; SuiteAnalytics.Working knowledge of SuiteScript 2.x concepts (able to scope and test developer-built scripts) and SDF; CSV imports; sandbox management.Understanding of integration patterns and APIs (SuiteTalk / RESTlets); familiarity with middleware (e.g., MuleSoft) and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake) preferred.Strong process design and requirements management (user stories, acceptance criteria, UAT plans); Agile delivery experience.SQL literacy and comfort exploring data for validation and reporting.Core Competencies :
