The Role

We’re hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) who thrive at the intersection of software engineering, customer impact, and problem-solving .

As an FDE, you’ll own the technical success of our largest enterprise accounts , deploying Greenlite’s platform, integrating with customer systems, debugging production issues, and building reusable solutions that shape our core product.

This is not a sales engineering role. You’ll write production-grade code, solve real integration problems, and act as the trusted technical partner for fintech teams at billion-dollar companies.

You’ll be successful if :

  • Customers say “I trust [your name] to fix anything.”
  • You turn customer frustration into loyalty through fast, empathetic problem-solving.
  • You translate messy requirements into clean, reusable product features and can build 0 to 1 features fast.

What You’ll Do

  • Build custom integrations with customer systems (APIs, webhooks, data pipelines).
  • Design and deploy architectures for high-volume environments
  • Triage and debug production issues across customer deployments.
  • Implement customer-specific extensions that don’t yet belong in the core platform. Communicate with customers directly.
  • Be the customer’s voice inside Engineering and Product. Identify patterns and push for upstream improvements.

    • Responsibilities by Experience Level

    Engineer

  • Deliver integrations and workflows with minimal supervision.
  • Write reliable, maintainable code for ETL jobs and connectors.
  • Debug production systems and support customer teams directly.

    • Senior Engineer

  • Lead delivery for new enterprise deployments or pilots.
  • Design scalable architectures for ingestion and enrichment.
  • Mentor other FDEs and establish deployment best practices.

    • Staff / Principal Engineer

  • Define frameworks and templates that accelerate onboarding across customers.
  • Architect reusable systems for data quality, observability, and automation.
  • Represent engineering in key technical discussions with customers.

    • What We’re Looking For

    Must‑Haves :

  • 4+ yrs (Engineer) / 6+ yrs (Sr. Engineer) / 8+ yrs (Staff Engineer) of production engineering experience
  • Strong fundamentals : APIs, distributed systems, data modeling
  • Hands‑on experience with ETL / ELT, SQL, and cloud infrastructure
  • Excellent debugging skills and a systematic approach to problem‑solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication — comfortable with both engineers and compliance teams
  • Ownership mindset and comfort working directly with customers

    • Technical Skills :

  • Languages : TypeScript / Node.js (primary), Python (nice to have)
  • Infrastructure : REST APIs, PostgreSQL / Supabase, workflow engines (Temporal / Airflow / Prefect)
  • DevOps : Git, Docker, monitoring (Datadog), CI / CD tools
  • Bonus : Experience in fintech, compliance, or AI‑driven data systems

  • $170k–$220K base salary + meaningful equity
