Location : Remote

Shift : Monday - Friday 8 : 30AM-5 : 00PM Mountain Standard Time

As our Patient Access Representative , y ou will be the patient’s positive and professional first impression and first point of contact. You’ll be answering a lot of incoming calls (6 to 8 calls an hour) and using your excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure the patient’s needs are met. You’ll be responsible for scheduling patient visits and procedures for multiple hospitals and medical centers. This is a fast-paced position which will rely on your proven ability to multi-task and desire to help patients.

To thrive in this position, you will need to be calm and attentive as you answer patient calls to schedule their appointments.  You’ll use your prior experience with a variety of software and navigating multiple systems to collect patient information and enter it into multiple computer systems. You will make phone calls to medical centers to solve issues.  You’ll use your communication and problem-solving skills to answer questions from patients as well as physicians and their staff.

Although previous healthcare experience would be helpful, it is not required .  We will teach you our industry leading technology and a variety of medical terminology to perform at your best and feel good about what you do. You will also need to pass a background check and drug screen.

Here’s what you can expect working in Patient Scheduling :

Answering a lot of incoming calls, asking and answering a lot of patient questions as you schedule appointments across many hospitals and medical centers. The information you collect will need to be entered into the computer so you will need to feel comfortable in a fast-paced work setting, capable of staying calm under pressure while making the patient feel at ease. You’ll also need to feel comfortable using multiple computer systems and typing quickly and accurately.

Helping people who may be very ill or worried. Patients need you to be there for them and listen carefully in order to ease their anxiety. You’ll ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time. You’ll also be interacting with doctors, nurses and other hospital employees about patient updates and their status.

For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.00 - $20.28 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
