About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on commercial law to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a strategic business partner, providing comprehensive legal support for commercial operations, and will be involved in a wide range of legal issues, including transactions with various customers in a highly regulated industry. This role requires a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, active bar membership, and a minimum of 6 years' commercial law experience, preferably in the medical device or life sciences sector. The Senior Counsel will work closely with executives and associates at all levels, advising on complex legal matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Counsel include serving as a key business partner, advising on risk mitigation strategies, and structuring, writing, and negotiating agreements. The role also involves supervising legal professionals, and in partnership with specialist attorneys, advising on regulatory, compliance, privacy, and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare regulation, including fraud and abuse, FDA for medical devices, data use and privacy, and anti-corruption. Experience with software transactions is a plus.
