The bookkeeper will support the end-to-end accounting process, assisting with monthly and quarterly close activities, managing general ledger entries, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. This role involves accurately allocating general and administrative costs, facilitating prompt vendor payment processing, and analyzing accounting entries to detect and correct inconsistencies. The bookkeeper will work closely with colleagues to contribute to the development of internal financial statements and audit employee expense submissions for adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

Record and manage general ledger entries.

Allocate general and administrative costs accurately.

Facilitate prompt vendor payment processing.

Analyze accounting entries to detect and correct inconsistencies.

Contribute to the development of internal financial statements.

Audit employee expense submissions for adherence to company policies.

Compile and present monthly expense reports for internal evaluation and sign-off.

Offer daily assistance to the controller and finance team with various accounting functions.

Perform additional related duties as required.

Essential Skills

Accounts payable and accounts receivable management.

Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups.

Bookkeeping and financial reporting skills.

Experience with bank reconciliation and journal entries.

Ability to perform reconciliations and month-end activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Advanced Excel skills.

Room for growth in the role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.96 / hr.
