Job Analyst Position
We are seeking an experienced Oil & Gas (Energy) Credit Analyst to join our team in Oklahoma City. This role will support our Energy Lending group by performing in-depth financial, operational, and collateral analysis for upstream, midstream, and related oil and gas clients. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the energy sector, and a proven ability to assess credit risk in a fast-moving environment.
Key responsibilities include :
- Analyze financial statements, reserve reports, cash flow models, engineering data, and operational metrics for energy borrowers.
- Prepare detailed credit memos, risk ratings, covenant structures, and recommendations for loan approvals.
- Assist lenders with structuring, underwriting, and monitoring energy-related credit facilities.
- Evaluate collateral, including borrowing-base calculations for oil & gas properties.
- Monitor portfolio performance, credit trends, covenant compliance, and loan conditions.
- Conduct industry and market research, including commodity price impacts and regulatory environments.
- Participate in client meetings, field exams, and due diligence as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with annual reviews, renewals, and modifications.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, or related field.25+ years of credit analysis experience, ideally within energy / oil & gas lending.Strong understanding of upstream / midstream financial and operational drivers (production, reserves, LOE, hedging, etc.).Proficiency in financial modeling, cash-flow analysis, and loan structuring.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with lenders, executives, and external partners.High attention to detail and strong aptitude for risk assessment.For more details or to apply confidentially, contact Tanner Stark at 417.590.8249 or email tanner.stark@gogpac.com
