The Opportunity
Portland Tractor is looking for an Inventory Analyst to join our team in Washougal, Washington . As the Inventory Analyst you will maintain the parts databases in the USA and Canada.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Inventory Analyst your key responsibilities will include :
- Determine inventory assortment and quantities at all branch locations based on sales history and customer demand
- Review branch inventories to maintain inventory turns and initiate corrective action as required
- Prepare and analyze data to assist senior management with continuous improvement
- Communicate regularly with branch staff regarding inventory related changes
- Contribute to establishing procedures to support customers, manage price changes and annual returns, and general policies and procedures
- Work with business leaders to develop reports used to track KPIs
- Review and manage open purchase orders
- Assist Branch Managers with preparing vendor returns for slow moving or non-moving inventory
- Assist branches with annual cyclical inventory counts
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies :
Two years of prior experience in data analysisPost-secondary education in inventory, logistics, operations management, or a related discipline is requiredExperience with inventory management and control systemsAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel and AccessExperience with Sage 100 considered an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding problem solving skills and analytical skillsExcellent organizational skills and prioritization skillsGoal focused and detail oriented with a drive for continuous improvementAbility to work effectively with minimal supervisionAbility to lead and manage a project from inception to completionBenefits & Perks
