Role Summary
The Supply Chain Program Manager is the subject matter expert in applying Supply Chain solutions to business requirements, driving continuous improvement, and assisting Supply Chain and internal business teams in achieving objectives. As an individual contributor, the Supply Chain Program Manager – Airport Ops defines long-term strategy for assigned programs and exercises considerable latitude and initiative in working with internal and external stakeholders to monitor active projects, update status, mitigate risks, and utilize escalation paths as appropriate.
Key Duties
Leads as the Supply Chain expert and interfaces with key stakeholders for assigned programs and / or categories of spend
Develops and manages assigned enterprise procurement programs.
Leads supplier relationship management efforts for assigned programs, including monitoring supplier performance through KPIs, systematically communicating expectations around performance, and resolving escalated supplier issues.
Collaborates with other value-chain team members to lead, design, or improve the cross-functional processes and internal procedures
Collaborates and assists with Supply Chain colleagues, internal stakeholders and supplier personnel when processing contractual changes.
Develops and leads sourcing strategies for assigned programs.
Prepares and executes contracts as well as performs post-award administration (e.g. negotiating, issuing change orders, contract closeouts, etc.)
Analyzes complex data sets to develop insights and strategy for assigned programs and spend categories.
Leads, understands, and assists in the development and execution of performance management programs with suppliers that focus on quality, responsiveness and cost
Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, transportation, material control or other related area.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field or an additional two years of relevant training / experience in lieu of this degree.
Organizational and administrative skills, able to multi-task and stay cool under pressure.
Proficiency in discerning various types of agreements common with Procurement (e.g., NDA’s, Pricing Letters, Stocking Program Letters), including knowledge of common contractual elements within these agreements
Adept at “root cause analysis” with strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated competence in change management techniques and challenging the status quo.
Proficiency in essential computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Data analytics experience, including with reporting tools
Ability to conduct research and to complete financial analyses with minimal support.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum age of 18.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
5 years working with an ERP system
2 years of leading cross functional teams or projects.
Airline industry experience with a demonstrated track record of developing strong customer / supplier relationships and the ability to think systemically to make sound, timely business decisions.
Familiarity with reading technical documentation / drawings and using enterprise class ERP systems (i.e., PeopleSoft and / or TRAX)
Practical experience with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process preferred
Master of Arts or Master of Science degree

Salary Range
120,400 - $180,600 / year

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience / level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska / Horizon employees. Alaska / Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
Note : We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
