job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAssists in the setup operation and maintenance of aggregate crushers and screening plants. Performs routine inspections of crushers conveyors and screens to identify and report maintenance needs. Monitors material flow and ensures proper feed and discharge of aggregate products. Cleans lubricates and maintains equipment according to safety and maintenance schedules. Assists in the preparation of project sites by removing debris and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Transports materials tools and equipment to and from the job site as needed. Operates construction machinery such as forklifts skid steers or small hand tools as necessary. Assists in digging grading and other manual labor tasks related to plant operations. Adheres to MSHA and company safety policies including the proper use of PPE and lockout / tagout procedures. Participates in safety meetings inspections and site audits as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to listen understand and follow directions. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving machinery. Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn aggregate plant operations. Flexibility to perform various tasks as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in the aggregate or mining industry preferred. MSHA Part 46 or Part 48 training certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire. Prolonged periods of standing and walking on uneven surfaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions and noisy environments. Manual dexterity required to operate tools and equipment.
Job Summary :
The Aggregate Groundman is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of aggregate production including working around crushers screens conveyors and other heavy equipment. This position supports the safe and efficient operation of crushing and screening plants ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations and company safety standards.
