The Position : Under general direction, the Emergency Department Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing rapid and high-quality nursing care to patients and to the community within the Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive timely and effective care. With a keen ability to remain calm under pressure and a commitment to ongoing education and training, emergency department nurses ensure that patients receive the critical attention they need while navigating complex medical emergencies with skill and compassion.

APPROXIMATE SALARIES :
Registered Nurse II (RN II) : $51.30 - $61.35 per hour
Per Diem Registered Nurse II : $51.72 - $68.25 per hour
In addition to the salary above, employees may be eligible for :
Non-overtime is 1.75 straight time base hourly rate
Registered Nurse II is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA) and is eligible for overtime compensation. The eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill current and future Regular (including Temporary and Fixed-term), Intermittent, and Extra Help vacancies. There are currently two (4) Per Diem vacancies within Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital.

Requires six (6) months of recent full-time acute care registered nursing experience in an acute hospital or equivalent setting, or completion of the Ventura County Medical Center competency requirements
