Job Description Summary
The Wake Forest University Pre-College Programs Department delivers inspiring hands-on learning experiences for high school students helping them explore academic passions develop leadership skills and prepare for their futures.
We are seeking a dynamic detail-oriented and collaborative Program Manager to help lead the Summer Immersion Program - a signature offering that brings students to Wake Forest Universitys campus for week-long experiential institutes.
The Program Manager will play a central role in recruitment marketing logistics student experience and operational management of the Summer Immersion Program while also supporting other Pre-College initiatives such as the Online Immersion Program and the College LAUNCH for Leadership Program. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment is highly organized and can build strong relationships with students families faculty and partners.
Job Description
Essential Functions :
Program Leadership & Operations
Partner with the Director to plan coordinate and execute all aspects of assigned Summer Immersion Program institutes including institute schedules guest presenters field trips labs hands-on activities and co-curricular experiences.
Manage institute operations and logistics surrounding catering transportation parking supplies room reservations and Google Classroom.
Lead institute planning meetings in an organized and strategic manner.
Maintain high-quality programming that ensures exceptional student satisfaction.
Manage program materials such as rosters certificates name tags and handouts.
Oversee and maintain accurate records forms and program documentation.
Manage application processing review and decision notifications using Slate CRM.
Prepare reports and data summaries for leadership including the annual End of Year Report.
Recruitment & Marketing
Collaborate on and implement recruitment strategies to meet enrollment goals for the Summer Immersion and College LAUNCH Programs.
Serve as a point of contact for prospective students parents educators and community partners via phone email and in-person.
Represent the program at recruitment events college fairs webinars and high school visits; deliver engaging presentations to students parents and educators.
Partner with the team to update the website craft marketing emails and contribute to social media content.
Staffing & Student Engagement
Recruit interview train and supervise the summer intern team including regular check-ins feedback sessions and end-of-summer evaluations.
Foster a positive inclusive environment for staff and students during the program.
Live on-campus in Wake Forest residence halls during June and July to provide leadership and support to students and staff.
Collaboration & Special Initiatives
Work closely with faculty Academic Leaders campus partners and external organizations to strengthen program content and partnerships.
Assist with College LAUNCH programming one Saturday per month (SeptemberMay) and for College LAUNCH workshops webinars and events.
Support fundraising grant writing and growth initiatives for Pre-College Programs.
Assist with special projects research and events as needed.
