Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and bill of materials for new and retrofit substation projects. Conduct equipment selection and specify transformers, circuit breakers, switches, buswork, relays, and other substation components. Collaborate with Protection & Control Engineers to integrate relaying and communication systems. Perform load flow, short circuit, and grounding studies as needed. Ensure all engineering deliverables meet NESC, IEEE, ANSI, IEC, and utility standards. Coordinate with internal design teams, utilities, and contractors to ensure technical accuracy and constructability. Participate in site visits to support design verification, construction, and commissioning. Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and testing phases. Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation per client and company requirements.

Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Substation Engineer to join our power delivery engineering team. The Substation Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of high-voltage substation projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with substation layout, equipment selection, protection and control systems, and integration with transmission and distribution systems.
This role involves collaboration across multiple disciplines—including civil, structural, and protection engineering—to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable designs that meet client and industry standards.
