NEW CONCEPTS FOR LIVING (NCFL) MISSION

SALARY : $85,000 $100,000 / per year

HOURS : 40+ per week

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but are not limited to) :

  • Evaluate and treat adults with I / DD preferred, or experience treating individuals with physical, cognitive, and psychological ailments
  • Treating clients with dysphagia, cognitive impairments, speech / language deficits, voice disorders, and other developmental and / or intellectual disabilities
  • Competence in administering and interpreting standardized assessments
  • Communicate with supports coordinator to promote implementation of recommendations in home and community settings
  • Developing treatment plans in line with ISPs
  • Educate staff on recommendation to be performed outside of therapy sessions
  • Adheres to DDD guidelines for habilitative and rehabilitative therapy services
  • Follows directive from Clinical Director
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective client care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid NJ state licensure in Speech Language Pathology
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP) required
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a speech language pathologist; preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities (special needs)
  • Strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives
  • Experience with ClinicSource (therapy practice management software preferred)
