UT Parking and Transportation Services is responsible for the management of over 17,000 parking spaces on campus, including 12 parking garages and more than 50 surface parking lots. Our operations include the distribution and regulation of daily, permitted, and event parking, as well as the maintenance of parking lots and garages. We also provide assistance to those parked on or traveling through campus. This assistance includes jump-starts and opening vehicles for those locked out.

Purpose
The Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining special event, shuttle, and nighttime transportation employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels while adhering to university policies. They manage employee availability, handle time-off requests, and communicate schedule changes to employees. This role may also involve scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating with other internal divisions of PTS to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the coordinator will work directly with the event and garage team to create and manage garage access grids. To make Parking and Transportation Services more effective and efficient by planning and scheduling employees for special events and job-specific roles.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field. Five years’ experience coordinating or administering a program. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in schedules and tracking employee availability. Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts and find solutions. Interpersonal skills and effective communication for building relationships with employees, team members, and other departments. Proficiency in using computer systems and software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large departmental special event scheduling. Proficiency in scheduling software and its features. Understanding of relevant labor laws and regulations.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Salary Range
55,000 + depending on qualifications

Retirement Plan Eligibility :
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
